This prototype won the first prize "Pixel d'or", it was made during the fifth Scientific Game Jam in Grenoble, organised from 15 to 17 March 2019 by the Grenoble Alpes University Community, in partnership with La Casemate (CCSTI) and with the financial support of the Idex Grenoble Alpes University.

I took the initiative of inviting everyone around a post-it note to determine together the principle of the game.
The Scientific Game Jam 2019 offers creators and scientific researchers to design a game in 42 hours. I met Ugo Nani, a glacio-seismology researcher in the Alps. For his thesis, he collects information on glaciers to predict their progress. Indeed, glaciers contain a layer of water at their base that acts as a lubricant and causes the glacier to move, about 50cm per day. The more water there is, the faster the glacier moves. To determine this movement, Ugo listens to the seismic vibrations of the water contained in the glacier in order to determine their evolution in the future.
So we built an experiment on this phenomenon using anticipation as a gameplay mechanic: listening to the vibrations of the glacier to predict the path to take.
I then took care of the level design in order to build an experience where the feeling of difficulty increases to come down quietly with wonder.
I also had the responsibility of drawing the scenery by orienting the graphics towards "flat-design" like the illustrator Marie-laure Cruschi (Alias Cruschiform). This technique allowed me to be efficient in quickly building minimalist landscapes with depth.
