The "Histoires Singulières" project belonging to the Musée de l'histoire de l'immigration is initially a multimedia object that consists in presenting portraits of people with various profiles. This fictitious project was carried out during the BTS Graphic Design digital option(bac+2).

Le projet des "Histoires Singulières" appartenant au Musée de l'histoire de l'immigration est initialement un objet multimédia qui consiste à présenter des portraits de personnes aux profils variés. Ce projet fictif a été réalisé lors au sein du BTS Design graphique option numérique (bac+2).

For this graphic redesign of the project, I wanted to re-imagine the form of the portrait through an interaction with the object that belongs to the person who testifies. By turning the object in three dimensions, the user adopts the posture of an observer, attentive to the details and singularity of each portrait.

Pour cette refonte graphique du projet, j'ai souhaité ré-imaginer la forme du portrait à travers une interaction avec l'objet qui appartient à la personne qui témoigne. En tournant l’objet en trois dimensions, l’utilisateur adopte une posture d’observateur, attentif aux détails et à la singularité de chaque portrait.

I wanted to build a web experience where the user discovers the story of each person through an object he consults.

J’ai souhaité construire une expérience web où l’utilisateur découvre l’histoire de chaque personne au travers d’un objet qu’il consulte.

By scrutinizing the object from all these angles, part of the content is revealed: a bump, an opening or a joint marks points of interest that lead to a piece of the story.

C’est en scrutant l’objet sous tous ces angles qu’une partie du contenu est dévoilé : une bosse, une ouverture ou une jointure marque des points d'intérêts qui mènent vers un bout de l’histoire.

The contents are about immigration, but the way to access them goes beyond the immigrant status of the person to better focus on the discovery of his personality, his journey and his emotions.

Les contenus parlent d’immigration, mais la manière d’y accéder dépasse le statut d'immigré de la personne pour mieux mettre l'accent sur la découverte de sa personnalité, son parcours et ses émotions.

Path for improvement: The unique use of objects can compromise the message by invisibilizing the people who testify. The photographs of the persons must be present on the site. They can appear once all the entry points of the object have been consulted. This would help reward the user by allowing them to put a face to the stories they have just read.

Piste d’amélioration : L'usage unique des objets peuvent compromettre le message en invisibilisant les personnes qui témoignent. Les photographies des personnes doivent être présentes sur le site. Elles peuvent apparaître une fois que tous les points d'entrée de l'objet ont été consultés. Cela participerait à récompenser l'utilisateur en lui permettant de mettre un visage sur les histoires qu'il vient de lire.
