  3. Prototype

  1. On-site immersion

First, we immersed ourselves with the staff and mothers to conduct an anthropological study and identifying "pain points".

2. Insight

We identified a recurring issue concerning nighttime lighting:

The baby's cycle disrupts the mother's night. During this intimate and nocturnal atmosphere, light becomes a disturbance.

when mothers wake up at night to breastfeed their child, they resort to various improvised solutions to achieve optimal lighting, such as turning on their phone flashlight, bringing in a nightlight, partially opening the bathroom door, or leaving the TV on.

3. Prototyping

Using the déjà-là: When we looked at the rooms, we could see a touch screen TV hanging on the bed. We decided to propose a hypothesis using the déjà-là, I took care of the prototyping.

On a simple touch, the screen turns on. Spreading your fingers allows you to activate the brightness of the screen and generate an abstract round and warm form, regardless of the atmostphere of breastfeeding.

To leave the light source behind, the TV can become a bedside lamp with a hologram kit.
